Who WE ARE

Red Seed Studio began with a simple question, one that still guides the work we do: What do you want people to see, feel, or learn - and what’s the best way to bring that to life?

Our roots are in learning design. For nearly fifteen years, we’ve worked with organizations to take complex information and turn it into experiences that are clear, useful, and built around how people actually learn. That might mean closing a knowledge gap, teaching a new process or system, or designing an experience that gives someone the chance to practice and apply what they’ve learned.

Film grew naturally alongside that work. Good filmmaking asks many of the same questions: Who is this for? What matters most? What will hold their attention? What should they walk away thinking, feeling, or understanding?

Today, Red Seed Studio brings those two disciplines together. We make documentaries, brand and product films, personal stories, training videos, interactive experiences, and learning content. Some projects are meant to teach. Others are meant to move someone, introduce them to something new, or preserve and share a story. And sometimes a project does more than one of those things at once.

We’re a small studio by design. We work with an in-house director of photography and a trusted group of collaborators, building the right team around each project. That keeps us flexible and allows us to stay closely involved from the first conversation through the finished work.

Our clients include businesses, nonprofits, museums, cultural organizations, artists and makers, filmmakers, and families. Some come to us knowing exactly what they want to make. Others come with a story, an idea, or a problem they haven’t quite figured out yet.

Either way, we start in the same place: understanding what you want someone to see, feel, understand, or learn - and finding the right way to make that happen.
