About Red Seed Studio

What do you want people to see, feel, or be able to do?
We're here to find the best way to make it happen.
Red Seed Studio grew out of two disciplines: filmmaking and instructional design. Our background spans directing and cinematography, educational psychology, and over a decade of designing learning experiences.
For film, we’re drawn to stories with people at the center.
We plan carefully before production, but storytelling is instinctive for us. We know when to follow the plan and when to pay attention to unexpected moments that make the story better.
That balance between intention and discovery is part of how we approach documentary and unscripted projects. For scripted productions, the same attention goes into planning the story, performances, visuals, and details before the camera rolls.

Learning isn't about giving people information, it's about enabling performance.
We start with what people need to do in the real world, then determine what they need to know, practice, and apply to get there. We consider what they already know, where they’re likely to get stuck, and what will help them succeed.
That thinking shapes every part of the experience, from the content and structure to the activities, practice, and supporting materials.
We stay closely involved from the first conversation through final delivery.
We’re a small studio by design. The people you talk to are the people making your project, so the ideas and decisions made early on carry through to final delivery.
When a project requires a larger crew or specialized expertise, we bring in trusted collaborators for those roles.
